Carry this. If an officer comes to your door, you do not have to open it — slide this under the door or hold it to the window. It says everything you need to say, so you do not have to say anything.

- 02Cut along the outer line of both cards.
- 03Write one phone number on the back before you need it. Memorize it too.
- 04Keep one in your wallet and one by the door. Give copies to your family.
TO THE OFFICER AT MY DOOR
- I do not wish to speak with you, answer your questions, or sign or hand you any documents based on my 5th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution.
- I do not give you permission to enter my home based on my 4th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a judge or magistrate, with my name on it, that you slide under the door.
- I do not give you permission to search any of my belongings based on my 4th Amendment rights.
- I choose to exercise my constitutional rights.

WHAT I DO
- I do not open the door. I speak through it.
- I say: “I am exercising my right to remain silent. I want to speak to a lawyer.”
- I do not run. I do not lie. I do not show false documents.
- I do not sign anything without a lawyer.
- I write down badge numbers and the license plate.
- I record if I can.
